Internship Reflection
End of Semester/Internship Reflection
Looking back on my internship at Riverview At Work and my overall capstone experience, I am amazed at how much I grew in such a short time. When I started, I was nervous and unsure of myself, unsure if I truly belonged in a professional healthcare setting. But through daily tasks, attending meetings, creating a competitor analysis presentation, assisting with financial reports, and meeting one-on-one with executives, I slowly built confidence. I learned that asking questions is not a weakness but a strength and that professionalism does not mean being perfect; it means showing up, being willing to learn, and treating people with kindness. Alex Hunt modeled this for me every day, and I hope to carry that forward in my own career. More than any single skill I gained, what I value most is the belief that I belong in this field and that I have something meaningful to contribute. This capstone experience did not just prepare me for my first job; it prepared me to keep growing, keep asking questions, and keep showing up as my authentic self.
