My name is Kellie Xotla, and I am currently a senior at Indiana University Indianapolis, receiving my bachelor's degree in Health Services Management in the spring.

About
I am a soon-to-be graduate from IU Indianapolis, completing my bachelor's in health services management in the spring. My path to this major started with an interest in nursing, but I eventually found my niche in the operational and administrative side of healthcare. I am driven by the challenge of improving systems and processes that work behind the scenes to facilitate patient care. Looking ahead, I am seeking opportunities in operations management where I can apply my skills in logistics and strategy to help healthcare facilities run more effectively.
Why Health Services Management
I chose health services management because it perfectly bridges my interest in the medical world with my aptitude for logistics and administration. After realizing that direct patient care wasn't the right fit for me, I sought a way to stay involved in healthcare by focusing on the "behind the scenes" work that keeps hospitals and clinics functioning. This major has allowed me to understand the business of health, preparing me to contribute to the efficiency and quality of care through operations management.
